It's 6 p.m. KROQ, a local rock radio station here in LA has its usual playlist on. RHCP, the Foos, Rise Against. And suddenly... What the Hell? Metric's new song "Help I'm Alive" The first thought taht pops into my brain is not "OMG, I'm like sooo excited!!!" No , it's " What the fuck are they doing here? " First, the Ariborne Toxic Event. Then The Silversun Pickups and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs( Karen O, I Love you! Marry me [In Maine] ) And now Metric. What has this world ( or at least LA) come to?
Most of you are going to bitch about me being a horrid fan and not caring about the wellbeing of my fave bands. Blah Blah and more Blah! I unlike some brainless cattle out there sincerely do care about the wellbeing of my bands, and that is why i don't want them to succumb to the Axis of Evil, a.k.a the major labels ( Sony, Warner, Virgin, etc. )
I , along with thousands of other suburban kids fell in love with bands such as Client and M83 because they were so small, and hence eccentric There was no mainstream bs. It was all original and very fresh. These bands oozed creativity and love + passion for music. And that is what drew us to them. They were unique, one of a kind. Their music connected with us. It made us feel. It made us think. It made us believe in a better world free of all the hell that is going on around us. It helped us escape from pain and misery. They were people who cared.
And now I'm forced to watch all of this slowly disappear. As bands become bigger, fame goes to their heads. They become preoccupied with money rather than music. I don't want my bands to have a commercial sound. I want them to to remain themselves nad stay true to their roots, stay true to their sound..

Since day one, I was the biggest Obama supporter. I believed in him, I trusted him, I supported every single one of his plans. But right now, I am highly disappointed in Obama's stance on gay marriage rights. In fact, Dick freaking Cheney is more liberal than Obama is when it comes to gays and their right to marry. How could this be? I still sincerely believe that deep down Obama does support natural human rights. However, I find it very hard to justify this move made by our President. In an interview with the Chicago Daily Tribune, Obama said, "I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman." However, devil...I mean Dick Cheney in a recent interview claimed that he doesn't "have any problem with [gay marriage]. People ought to get a shot at that." I think that since this was a topic very close to the ex VP (his daughter is gay), hence he has a rather liberal point of view ( of course, he doesn't want the federal government involved in this issue, but still)
I am not condemning Obama at all. In fact, since his days in the Senate of Illinois, Obama supported other gay rights. He voted numerous times against a Federal Marriage Amendment and opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. He, thus, does believe that gay and lesbian couples should have equal rights as heterosexual couples. He just doesn't want to call it marriage. Dick Cheney does.
Obama, darling, don't let this man full of pure evil make you look bad. I understand you're Christian. But don't let your religious beliefs tamper with your moral beliefs. You should know better than deny humans their basic rights. I know deep down isnide you knw what's right and what's wrong. Please, I still believe in you.

OK well i was recently on my fave website DMMB ( i already explained what it stood for so go read my previous post ...) and i came across this link to a review on a website called Trouser Press. I personally think that it should be renamed shit press after i read a review of Depeche Mode. Now i swear to fucking god that the person who wrote the review either is (a) mentally challenged (b) is on drugs and most likely (C) is both on drugs and mentally challenged. His review was so much of fucking hate that i was surprised that he did not fucking explode when he was writing it. I don't know who the fuck he is but he certainly thinks that he is the god of music reviews.
He calls Some Great Reward the bands "best record" . Now i do think that some great reward is a great album as it does contain "Blasphemous rumors' but i certainly would not call it their "best' album. At that point i was a little sceptical about the mental state of the reviewer but i decided to read on for the heck of it. Oh boy, that was the greatest mistake of my life!
I began getting pretty angry when he began talking about the Black celebration album, According to him, "Unfortunately, many of the tunes resemble each other; shards of the same melody turn up repeatedly. " that is so unfuckingtrue!!!!! If you think that "Stripped" and 'black celebration" sound the same, then you my friend have hearing problems. OK, but this is not the worst of it. I kept on reading and getting more mad minute by minute!
here is his review of Music for the Masses, one of the greatest DM albums ever " Music for the Masses is marginally brighter in temperament, but shows the band running low on creative juice. Unambitious, bland and forgettable, the album displays little beyond Gore's emotional anxieties and Gahan's vocal limitations. The tense "Behind the Wheel" and "Never Let Me Down Again" are the only powerful songs here, and both have dumb lyrics and skimpy, underdeveloped melodies. "Pimpf," a turgid piece of operatic nonsense, ends the album on a most unpromising note. The CD has four bonus tracks."
Now seriously, what the fuck is wrong with him? Gahan's vocal limitations-what the fuck? is he serious when he says that "behind the wheel" and "NLMDA" have dumb lyrics? Oh no, this must be a fucking joke. They are the two most brilliant songs of all time and he dares to call them "skimpy" ....? What the fuck? At this point i am beginning to wonder if this is a prank that someone's pulling...Honestly, this man is on drugs! Martin Gore is known as the one of the best songwriters in the world and you say he has "emotional anxieties" My darling, it is you who has problems.
At this point i am about to throw the computer out the window because I am so angry. But wait, there is fucking more...."The dismal Violator (which nonetheless produced more US hit singles — three — than any other DM LP) matches Music for the Masses for shallow blandness. A lack of external input locks the insular group in a closed creative circle that shows no signs of opening or expanding. Worse than routine music (the LP's best song, "Enjoy the Silence," is totally self-derivative; the idiotic "Clean" uses a monotonous sequencer line borrowed from Kraftwerk), the vague egocentric lyrics ("Blue Dress," "World in My Eyes") no longer make any effort to be about anything. Only the lyrics of the album-ending "Clean" indicate any break in the clouds: "Now that I'm clean...I've broken my fall...changed my routine." In the record's sole flash of wit, "Personal Jesus" (also released on a five-mix CD) uses a jaunty rock'n'roll swing, but "reach out and touch faith" isn't a very profound message."
This fucking moron dares to call "Clean" idiotic, "world in my eyes'' and ''blue dress'' meaningless. well guess what fuckface, the songs have meaning to me! It's not my fault that you're so fucking stupid that you don't understand shit. And guess what, Depeche Mode has a giant fan base that fucking loves their music so i don't know who the fuck you are trying to convince with your fucking review.
Now i know i shouldn't get so fucking worked up about a review by a brainless moron but i just couldn't help but wonder what the fuck is wrong with this world
I understand that you may not like depeche mode and their music ( i have friends who don't..) but they don't sit on their asses their whole day and write pointless reviews . I don't know why the fuck you are so bitter but you still have to shut the fuck up because you will get attacked by an angry mob of Devotees (including moi)

Jr called it "landmark legislation that is vital to the security of our people." my gosh, i had no idea he could use big words like that. i wonder how his brain did not overload!

The bush-man signed a bill that pretty much grants immunity to telecommunications companies that helped the U.S. spy on Americans in SUSPECTED terrorism cases! How fucking idiotic is that! Ah, i just feel like screaming! When will this hell end?

You know what pisses me off the most? The fact that pretty much half of America does not give a fuck!!! A brainless generation has been raised who cares nothing about the country's future-all they care about is fucking shopping at their stupid Abercrombie stores and texting their fucking boyfriends. I mean I have nothing against that- i do that kinda stuff to. But at least i fucking care about MY country's future! I care about what is going to happen to it!

Because of this idiot thousands of young men and women have died fighting a fucking pointless war and still no one cares what he does . No one cares that the Patriot Act is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Ian Curtis's Gravestone stolen

Now a couple of days ago i came across a story describing the theft of legendary Ian Curtis's gravestone. Now for those of you who don't know who he is ( shame on you by the way!) Ian Curtis was the lead singer of the band called Joy Division ( known for songs such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Ceremony") . Ian Curtis was a brilliant poet and songwriter. Sadly, Ian committed suicide at the age of 23 in 1980. I am not going to speculate as to why he had done such a thing- all i know is that the world had suffered a great loss. Ian Hung himself in his kitchen on may 18, 1980. Without a doubt he is still missed and remembered by many.

Now what i really want to talk about is how his gravestone was stolen by some idiots in Macclesfield, Cheshire. I honestly do think that the person who stole the Gravestone must've been one of those crazy "fans" who would do anything to own some memorabilia from their 'Fave" artist. How low and stupid can you be to do such a thing. Honestly what can prompt a person to steal a gravestone? Why can't they just leave Ian alone-let him rest in peace. The man had a chaotic life-why can't they let him have a peaceful death!

It baffles me to the graetest degree to fid out that someone could do this! However what baffles me even more is that people do not care. Has anything been done to catch the idiots ? No! Does anyone else care? no! I just sincerely hope that the idiots would be punished for what they've doen one way or anothe.

Just to let y'all know, i am a firm supporter of socialism but at thsi point, the US needs a so-called 'elitist' president who will save this country from doom!

OK... for a while now I've been constantly hearing the word elitist being associated with our new democratic nominee B. Obama. I know what the dictionary term "elitism" means, but i decided to do more research on the subject. After a day on the net i realised that elitism is not that bad, especially if we are talking about the government.
i have no idea why all these people complain about Obama and all the other liberals being 'elitist'. I find absolutely nothing wrong with being better than somebody else in terms of intelligence, wealth, power , etc. in fact, i believe that all these things are necessary in order for the society to function properly.
To me, being elite simply means being more intelligent and having more power than the regular people. There is nothing wrong with that. Those who believe that there is a problem should simply create their own COMMUNIST society where no one is better than the other ( it's not even possible , you know)
Here is what i think.. I think that i would like my president to be better than i am. Hey, that's why that person is elected president-because he/she is better than everyone else. Why is everyone who is intelligent and believes that intelligent people should run the government considered an elitist? i think that people like me simple want what is best for their country. i am tired of idiots running my country- i want someone intelligent, someone who knows what he's doing to be my president.
Sorry people, in every single society there are going to be people better than you and me. Now we must either accept that and deal with it or have another idiot as our president.. It's your choice.

My issue with Kosovo

Anyone who knows me even a little must understand that i never let go of an issue of this size. Not so long ago, Kosovo became its own and independent country. I'm just gonna start off by saying the THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER!!!!!!

Honestly, what the fuck was the UN thinking when they recognized Kosovo as an independent country? What were they smoking because i want some of that stuff too.. Here is what my problem is

a) that land never used to belong to Albanians... If they want to be all nationalistic , then maybe they should go back to Albania. The Albanians moved there maybe two hundred years ago- initially that land belonged do Serbians, Slavs, and not Muslim settlers

b) The Kosovo area has the most historic value to Serbians- the land contains the most sacred churches and temples built thousands of years ago.

c) Just a few days ago , it has been established that Albanian terrorist groups in Kosvo have been kidnapping Serbians to sell their organs on the black market... If that's not enough, the same people are now government officials.

d) The so-called ''independence" of Kosovo has set off a domino effect - once one country gets its Independence, 20 thousand more are claiming their right to an independence. I am so tired of wars and fighting over territory- why can't this just fucking stop? Why? The sad thing is, though, that these people really think that once they become independent, everything will magically become better.All their worries are going to disappear. It's quiet frankly the opposite...Do Chechens really think that their life will become better if they separate from Russia? Have they learned nothing? newly established countries struggle for centuries before they become somewhat affluent. In my opinion, they are better off being a part of another, larger country and just being an autonomic republic. But no, they want their independence and they want it now. They don't care about the consequences, all they care about is a stupid ideology.

e) If one type of people within a country demand independence, what makes smaller groups within that group demand independence..First it's the Muslim Albanians in Kosovo, then maybe the half Muslims would want their Independence from Kosovo.. Now i know my example was rather bizarre, but you get my point..

Gosh, now hopefully you understand why i am so angered at this whole situation. I am angered by the fact that half of the world supports this retarded decision.. Now i understand why Us does this _ In exchange for the US's support, Kosovo has agreed to let the US establish military bases.. But why have the other countries agreed to this/ have they not learned their lessons yet? The world is going straight to hell and no one is willing to do anything about it.. wonderful!

This concert ws marked by the wonderful and unforgettable "GOOD EVENING PASADENA!!!" ...
It saddens me that i was not there due to the fcat taht i was born in '91...But hey, i still have the DVd and the Cd to make up for it.
it was on thsi wonderful day that over 60 thousand of you got to witness Dave dancing in those extremely sexy white jeans..it was on this day that hits like Strangelove and Never let Me Down again were danced to... Gosh, so much to talk about in so little time..
Once again, i congartulate all of the devotees. I honestly hope that we will get another concert in Pasadena very soon to celebrate this wonderful occasion.
Depeche Mode have stood the test of time and hopefully will keep rockin' till the day i die...

Well, throughout years, many people have been wondering what it is about Depeche Mode that attracts "younglings" such as me. To be honest, i don't really know myself. All i know is that Depeche Mode makes me feel , well, it just makes me feel.

Throughout my very short life i have been through so much shit that half of you could not even imagine. i have been sexually abused by someone very close to me, i have been depressed,i have tried ending my life and i have seen horror and death of someone that was like my sister. Well, you pretty much get the point. And i know this is going to sound extremely cheesy, but Depeche Mode has helped me get through all of that carp. When i was old enough to realize what had happened to me and how i was violated, Depeche Mode was there for me. It was there to save me from destruction and it was a relief for my pain. the music made me feel not worthless anymore . It made me realize that maybe there is a purpose to life. The deep and beautiful voice of the lead singer, Dave Gahan reassured me that everything was simply fine. No i knew that there was no purpose in ending it because i had such beautiful music to live for.

their music makes me want to surrender to the world and be helpless, but not hopeless. No! because of DM i get up every morning knowing that life is not that bad anymore. It makes me believe in myself and trust myself once again. Now for all these things i want to thank DM!

I know that they won't be reading this, but it just feels so much better saying it! So once again, DM, you are responsible for saving my life and being there for me when no one else is!

Anyways…about a month ago I won a contest conducted by the Admin of the board, BRAT! I mean I was stalking Brat for days trying to find out whether or not I won. I mean I have never won anything and winning something, especially something related to DM has been the greatest moment of my life.

Yet what I apparently forgot to mention was the fact that this type of an ideology is not limited only to these countries...No. Nazism is a much bigger idea present in very industrialized, first world countries, countries that we would have never thought of as being “nativistic”.
Some people believe that I was simply trying to side with the Communists, the Bolsheviks that took over the poor countries that wanted to be left alone. Well, I’m sorry but what happened ALREADY fucking happened. We cannot repeat the freaking past. Why can’t we just accept this and move on? Ok, I’m off topic now. Where was I? Oh, ok. Well, like I said many progressive and developed countries have fascists among the society. One of these countries is our dear old U.S.
Yes, the country that many consider to be the land of the free, the land of the “American Dream” is a Nazi country. No, I’m not talking about the government, which is a whole different issue. I am talking about individuals that form our society.
First, I must define Nazism. According to Dictioanry.com, Nazism is “The ideology and practice of the Nazis, especially the policy of racist nationalism, national expansion, and state control of the economy”. Well, for now I’m going to discard everything but the phrase “racist nationalism”. Isn’t it funny that a country composed of thousands of different nationalities thinks that it is right to blame everyone around them for their problems?
Not one single person here, in this country has the right to be racist and prejudiced against others. We all come from the same fucking background. Every single one of us had some of our ancestors move to this country in order to free them of oppression. Yet what happens when we come here. We do the same thing that we tried to escape from. Instead of being oppressed, we are now becoming the “oppresses”. We come to this country, we form our little ethnic enclaves, we join gangs to show our unity, we think that our race is much better than the others. Thus, begins the hunt for innocent victims.

That is how little children are killed by drive-by shootings, that is why there are constant fights at schools between to different groups. People re forced to join in “on the fun”. If they don’t they are constantly mocked by the members of their ethnic group.. I know, I’ve been through all that shit.
If any of you have seen the movie “American History X”, you know what I am talking about. Whites against Blacks against the Latinos against other minority groups. The oppression never ends. When we do this, we feel powerful we feel as if we are better than anyone else. That is the reason why some people even have swastika tattoos-by doing this, they want to show how ‘powerful” they are. These people are simply ignorant, sorry little fools. They believe that what they are doing shows pride for their nation. In my opinion, every singly person has ‘a little Nazi’ hiding somewhere inside, just waiting to come out. Waiting and hoping for chaos.

Estonia Accuses Ex-Official of Genocide

How absolutely pathetic. Instead of solving crimes that occurred a year ago when Estonian authorities killed and hurt hundreds of people trying to protect the Soviet monuments from vandalism , they decide to put on trial an 89 year old Soviet war hero. the want to put on trail who fought against Nazis and has about 2 more years to live. Once again, i understand that these people hate the Russians and anything or anyone associated with Russia/Soviets.

Yes, they are accusing this helpless man of committing a genocide!!!! Apparently he had sent over 250 "Innocent" people to Siberian war camps. Honestly, i think that Soviets had greater things to worry about rather than the 'evil' citizens of of Estonia. God, why are these people striving for Nazism. why, while the rest of the world considers those who fought against the Nazis in WWII heroes, Estonia thinks of them as criminals. What has this world come to?

Fascism: reality, not a myth

More that 60 years ago, the world fought one of its greatest battles against evil- the battle against fascism. For over half a century, this ideology has been condemned by EVERYONE, or should I say almost everyone. I know, seems impossible, right? Well, that’s what I thought also before I heard what is happening in some Eastern European countries.
During the Second World War, the Soviet Union took over most of the European countries in order to “liberate” them of fascism and the influence of the Nazis. Contrary to the beliefs of many, the Eastern European countries such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and already Soviet Ukraine had already established anti-Semitic, so called “nationalist” groups sponsored by the SS of Hitler’s Germany. It is quite surprising since that particular area was full of Jews and supposedly had great anti-Nazi beliefs. Well, I guess we were wrong.
AS of today countries like Estonia and Ukraine take pride in the fact that they fought bravely against Soviet occupationists while siding with the SS. Now I understand the strong Nationalistic feelings and the strong hatred for the Soviets, especially Stalin. But the fact that shocks me is that these people actually PRAISE the work of Nazis.
Vandals in Estonia take down Soviet monuments and desecrate Soviet graves. Now if that’s not enough, in Ukraine the other day, former SS veterans were marching down the streets of Kiev. They were joined by Ukrainian political figures as well as Ukrainian pop stars.
Now I understand the fact that these countries hate Russia’s guts. I also understand that they want to get into the European Union as well as join NATO. What I don’t understand is the lack of RESPECT these people have. They praise SS leaders such as Bandera, by claiming that they fought for the country’s nationalistic causes. Now do they praise Hitler too?
It just saddens me that we are now raising new generations of Neo-Fascists, who are brainless enough to believe what they hear, and who now consider Nazis to be the good guys. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic!

Popularity Contest

It seems that in these days, everything is basically a popularity contest.
Just a few weeks ago we had our school elections for the class of '09 representatives. To be honest, neither of the contestants were worthy of the positions, especially the position of the president. Both of the candidates actually sucked ass!
None of the candidates were prepared. the first girl that ran for president, the supposedly popular "gangsta" one was on the student council for only 1 freaking semester, while the other one "just wanted to become the president" (her own words). When my friends and i decided to at least ask each of the candidates regarding their stand on things that have been happening in school at least the "gangsta" one was better prepared. She had come up with some (apparently unmemorable) solutions that were at least much better than asking for the unspent money of the class that was going to graduate this year. According to the second candidate, we were going to "beg" this year's senior class to give us their unspent money instead of making their grad-night ticket prices go down. Ya right, like that's ever going to happen!
Well, as you all have realized this election was just honestly a joke. Who won? the person with no solution to anything. Well, at least she was on the student council for like year...
Just like i said, this election was nothing but a popularity contest. The person who won, did so just because she asked all of her friends to vote for her.. For Chrissake, what has this country turned into???

School: is it really worth it ?

Changing the face of education my ass!
Sorry for my crazy aggression. Yet I cannot help but to let out my negative feelings towards my high school. I must not lie: the three years that I’ve been attending my high school have been the greatest years of my life. However I cannot help but to become outraged by the pretense of this school. While the administration sits on their asses, trying to come up with the most outrageous and inconsistent rules on this whole wide planet, all they care about is the status of the school. Not the well-being of their 4000+ students, not the well being of the faculty, but the ‘well being’ of their wallets.
Yet I must say that I cannot solely blame them. The full blame must fall on the goddamn society. The society that dictates how we must act, what we must wear and what should we do/not do. The society has turned a once intrinsically motivated youth to brainless zombies whose only goal has become the attendance of a ‘good’ college. While we are still in middle school, we are constantly ‘grilled’ by our parents, teachers, etc., regarding our acceptance to a good college. It seems that our need to learn just for the sake of learning has been replaced by our desire to fit in.
You are labeled a “failure” if you even get a “B” in school. The school that is supposedly “changing the face of education” simply gives up on you, since they cannot get money for a “failure” like you. Thus, you become the outcast of the society that actually constantly pressured you into doing things that you might not have necessarily wanted to do.
You are pressured into taking all these extra AP (advanced placement) classes just so that colleges will at least review your fucking application. What seems to be worse is the fact that even if you try your hardest to get those good grades, you take all those fucking AP and honors classes-colleges like UCLA and USC don’t even look at your fucking application. Even worse than what I’ve described, instead of your hard-working ass, some stupid football jock or a dumb cheerleader get into college, even though they have a GPA of 2.9 while you have a GPA of 3 point fucking 8.
Whoosh, enough ranting for now. I feel exhausted!

Depeche Mode

Well, my very first post on this Blog should be about Depeche Mode. Honestly, I owe it to them. Without a doubt many of you will soon consider me an obsessive freak. Well, I am obsessive, but I’m not a freak. No, I’m just horsing around. Ok, back to the topic. As I was saying, Depeche Mode has been my life savior. Honestly, their music has saved me from making the stupidest mistakes in my whole entire life. It seems that without Depeche Mode, I am nothing. As a fellow Moder of mine once said “Depeche mode is like the soundtrack of my life”. Indeed, the music of that band has apparently been the inspiration for everything in my little, pathetic life. It seems that somehow, their every single song has related to the things that have been happening to me lately.
As a child, I was “forced” to listen to Depeche Mode by my beloved mother. I am ashamed to say that I practically hated them. Every time she played “Everything counts’ I wanted to run out of our flat screaming. Yet I think that as I grew a bit older, I acquired taste! The once detested “Everything Counts” has become one of my favourite songs, to which I can dance to all night long.
The one song that turned Depeche Mode from a “band that I just like” to basically the thing that defined my life, was “Surrender”. Once I heard the first chords of the song, I knew I would never be able to live my life the same way. I was captivated and I would never be the same…there is so much more to say, Honestly, I can spend my whole life talking how much Depeche Mode has helped me when I was going through things that half of you would never even dream about in your nightmares. So I am going to keep it short and just say “Thank you” to the best band in the world.
